Check-in & Registration

  • The schedule of talks and workshops is available in the #schedule-πŸ•œ channel.

  • There's a clock at the top of the channel list so our non-AZ attendees can easily know what time it is "at the con". It updates every 5 minutes.

Discord Use

  • On the left, you'll see a list of channels you can chat in. There's also Voice Channels in each section that we encourage you to jump into!

  • If a voice channel is getting a bit crowded, you're welcome to jump over to a Breakout Voice Channel - They're open for anyone to use!

Talks & Workshops

  • The links to each talk will be announced in #announcements-πŸ“’ prior to the starting time.

  • Immediately following a talk, YouTube will display a link to the live Q&A with the presenter.

  • To ask questions of a presenter, please use the #talks-q-and-a-❓-closed channel, and they will either respond in chat, or address it during the live Q&A.

  • Discussion about the current in-progress talk is in the #talks-discussion-πŸ—£-closed channel

  • After a talk is over, please move conversation about it to the #talks-hallway-πŸšͺ-closed channel.

  • Workshop registration was handled through Eventbrite as well. If you've pre-registered for a workshop, send @Hacktar the ticket barcode for the workshop and you'll be granted access to the voice and text channel where the workshop will be held.

October Update: Current Planning Status

My name is Ryan, and as of last year I've taken over as the lead organizer for CactusCon. While we are in the planning phases of our upcoming virtual conference, I'd like to keep everyone informed as to how things are shaping up for the crew. I'm sharing this update with everyone to provide some transparency into our planning efforts.
